Partnership News: Rhino Greenhouses

The Community Sports Foundation is excited to announce the generous donation of a greenhouse by Norfolk-based company, Rhino Greenhouses as part of the ongoing vegetable garden project at The Nest. Led by Foundation participant Alex Fearne, the greenhouse has already proven to be a vital addition to the project.

Since the greenhouse was installed, Alex and the team of groundskeepers at The Nest have been able to grow a bumper crop of vegetables, providing fresh, local produce to The Nest’s café. Crops have been so good this summer that surplus produce was also donated to The Feed Social Supermarket, which offers affordable groceries to local families, helping them eat well despite the rising cost of living.

To celebrate the donation and mark the success of the vegetable garden project, Andrew White from Rhino Greenhouses joined Alex and other members of the Foundation team for a visit from Norwich City FC players José Córdoba and Ashley Barnes.

Andrew White, Head of Sales and Marketing at Rhino Greenhouses, said:

“As a proud Norfolk company, with our local community at the centre of everything we do, we are delighted to be able to help and support The Nest in any way we can.

When we heard about Alex’s story, we wanted to do anything we could to ensure the team of groundskeepers at The Nest can grow a variety of plants, all year round. We can’t wait to receive updates from the team over the years with what’s being grown in our greenhouse!”

Martha Casey, Relationships Manager at the Community Sports Foundation, said:

“The donation of this greenhouse has been a game-changer for our vegetable garden project. Alex’s dedication, combined with Rhino Greenhouses’ support has allowed us to provide fresh, locally grown produce for our café while advancing the Foundation’s sustainability goals. Partnerships like these are crucial in helping us create lasting positive change within the community.”
