New EV Charging Points Now Live at The Nest

The Nest is proud to announce the installation and launch of four new electric vehicle (EV) charging points, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. This latest initiative is a significant step forward in the Community Sports Foundation’s ongoing efforts to reduce carbon footprints by promoting and enabling greener transport options within the community.

The installation of the charging points was made possible thanks to the generous support of ZOLB EV who donated the four charging points.

The EV chargers are part of a wider push for sustainability at The Nest, which also includes The Store, an initiative by the Community Sports Foundation that gives preloved sportswear and kit a second life. By making quality sports gear more affordable and accessible, The Store ensures that financial barriers don’t prevent people from participating in sport while also reducing waste and promoting a circular economy.

“We are incredibly grateful to Zolb for their generosity and support in making this project a reality,” said Paul Harding, Head of Compliance at the Community Sports Foundation. “Sustainability is a key focus for us, and by introducing these charging points alongside initiatives like The Store and we’re making meaningful strides towards a greener future while ensuring sport remains inclusive and accessible for all.”

Ben Fisher, Sustainability Development Coordinator at the English Football League said:

“Providing participants with sustainable travel options is an important step in helping Club Charities to reduce their carbon footprint. We are incredibly proud of the environmental sustainability work Norwich City Community Sports Foundation are delivering, and it was a pleasure to visit The Nest to meet the team and see their projects coming to life
