Give your old kit a second chance at The Nest

As the festive season ramps up, now is the perfect time to declutter and make space for those special new gifts. This December – and beyond – we’re inviting you to join us in a mission to give your old sports kit and equipment a second lease of life! 

If you have visited The Nest recently you will have seen that exciting progress is being made on our new charity and retail space and we are on track for an early 2025 opening.  

Once completed, this innovative space will support the Community Sports Foundation’s goals of promoting sustainability and accessibility in sport. Every purchase from the shop will directly contribute to the Foundation’s life-changing programmes, helping people across Norfolk access opportunities to thrive.  

But first, we need some stock! 

What we’re looking for:

Anything and everything! From old outgrown football boots to shin pads gathering dust, hockey sticks to tennis rackets, running tops to football shirts no longer in use – your items can make a difference. 

We accept the following across all, and any, sport: 

• Sports Kit (e.g., boots, shirts, shorts, tracksuits) 

• Equipment (e.g., balls, gloves, cones, mat, bats) 

• General activewear and leisurewear 

All donations should be clean and in good condition. 

Why your donations matter:

By donating, you’re contributing to more than just recycling – you’re investing in our community’s future. The new retail space will: 

• Promote sustainability by reducing waste and giving gear a second life. 

• Support community programs across Norfolk, helping people of all ages access sport and wellbeing opportunities. 

• Make sports more accessible by offering affordable kit to local families. 

How to donate: 

Drop off your donations at The Nest reception anytime during opening hours. We will need to record a few details for gift-aid purposes. It’s that simple!
